About the Minor

Run by the Idea Factory

Build ventures.
Drive innovation.

The Minor gives you the working knowledge and skills of the entrepreneurial process: how ventures are discovered, evaluated, financed, marketed, and led. It's built for innovators of every kind — students who want to launch their own startup, and students who want to drive new products and ideas inside established companies and organizations.

The Minor is run by the Idea Factory, the Clark School's innovation and entrepreneurship institute, and is open to students from any major at the University of Maryland.
